Tlc for my busted ankle
|

Hi everyone, I'm in pain and right now I could EAT STEEL AND SPIT NAILS Two days ago, while on holidays, I slipped getting into the Jacuzzi and fell onto my right ankle (and also into the lap of a teenage boy ) It ballooned up immediately and the lifeguard gave me a cold compress. Btw, girls, my fantasy of being carried by the lifeguard back to my holiday home didn't happen...came close...he helped me to the exit of the swimming complex (all these new fandangled health and safety rules are ruining everything) Next day, got an x-ray and thankfully no broken bones, but my foot and ankle looks like some purple/black/blue alien. I have to use crutches for the first time in my life and a boot. So my mobility is limited which is the annoying part. No dancing for me for awhile So here I am, on the couch, with my leg above my hips (stop sniggering, lads ) My sleeping pattern is shot to pieces The only benefit is that I am jacked up on pain-killers (a legal high so to speak as I don't smoke ) I'm lonely even though I have my family and friends who are eager to help. I'd love a snuggle and I would almost break my other ankle if it meant a free massage from one of you strapping lads out there So.... I would really appreciate some words of encouragement from you guys and gals pleeeese ....anyone else recovering from some injury that I could empathise with...some killer jokes as I could do with a belly laugh... Love and blessings to y'all |

Hi ya,
We women get that a lot. There are good men out there too but I find that they are too far away. Pity as I would love to meet them, just for an hour even, face to face, for the heck of it. I've learnt not to let it get to me as it is a reflection of them, not me. I know it is annoying when there has been some conversions etc and then it's just sex talk Men tend to be honest about their sexual needs, forgetting that we want romance first. Delete the players. Stay on here and you may be surprised by the male personalities on here. |

deleted ((auburngirl)) So sorry for your loss. It is very hard when someone you had a relationship with takes their own life. He obviously had given up hope which is a sad and frightening place to be. I'll keep you in my prayers. The Lord is close to the broken hearted. May The God of all Comfort be with you and yours during this difficult, sorrowful time. |

yesterday. when i got a call that the guy i had been dating committed suicide. OMG so sorry for your loss. Suicide is the hardest form of death to process so be gentle on yourself and his relatives. I'll keep you in my prayers if that's ok. Lots of love and blessings to you <3 |

One problem with that sir. You are assuming i have never experienced the other. You would be wrong. Someone special to me had a tramatic experience. i answered the question "what was the last thing that made you cry". You, like the other guy focused on sexual orientation instead of the experience i went through with someone i care about. You couldn't just comment on that? Where is your head? I cried at the extreme reactions of these Christians towards you. I mean, you were upset, went through so much with your friend who is thankfully alive, and you were sharing this and 'baring your soul' so as a woman who is also a Christian, I wish I could make amends for them. However I know that I cannot apologise on their behalf and I certainly don't want to patronise you or them, I just want to state that we are all in different places. This is not the time for religious debate or any type of debate. I can sympathise with your distress as I have been through a lot also. Life is a learning curve, always pulling us upwards and onwards. I hope you will both be ok. Love and blessings to you both. |

Learning to love yourself takes time, honesty and patience,
The world constantly puts up ideals of men/women. Ignore this as much as you can. It is media 'bullsheet' to convince us we need to look this way, or have the latest whatever. we are all fearfully and wonderfully made, so I accepted my 'wonky' features long ago as I prefer to be real and flawed than fake and fecked up mentally as a result. I was incredibly shy as a kid, being a middle child of six children, I learnt from my strong older brother, my organised older sister, my younger sister who actually bullied me but I began to stand up for myself against her in my teens. I took care of my youngest brother a lot which taught me to be responsible, compassionate and protective. My friends helped me grow in confidence. Find good friends who encourage you, while giving you the freedom to mess up and learn. After my children were born I had post natal depression which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy so I get what you are saying about how horrible it can be and many people don't understand it fully if they had no personal experience of it. I don't live under the label of it - I don't let it define me totally. I embrace the good and bad days. I have read a lot and learned various coping mechanisms. Laughter is good for the soul which is why I love all of you guys on here with all of your individual shades of humour. Oh, and I treat myself regularly in various ways, with baths, nice food, movies, massages etc. It's part of loving me. I enjoy being there for others, I seek to maintain peace around me in as much as it is possible. Thanks for posting this as it is nice to discuss important issues and learn for the collective wisdom on here. Lots of love and hugs to you from me |

Hugs for you, ((Rob))
You will have great fun on here. I know I do. Don't feel any competition from Annikaanish who is also newbing in on you, as he apparently stole my hubcab and is using it to over inflate his muscles Imo you are far better looking and more of a man, albeit younger but what the hey. Looking forward to your posts and experiment with smileys and quoting others as that ups the ante! |

- Go for the longest whizz in the back garden
- Check myself out from all angles, not worry about the size, because it is my new flexible friend and the size thing is a myth to make guys feel insecure. Quality over quantity and all that - Make a bonfire of my bras and fundies and high heels - Invite my male friends around for a few brews, start a bromance - Invite my female friends around to liven up the party - Try to stay sober in case I get too amorous with my still female bestie as she is smoking (but as I have the inside track on her personal preferences maybe this would be mutually beneficial... ) - Lay out in the garden with my top off just because I can - Join men only clubs just to steal their cigars and whiskeys to cheese them off :D - Not worry about farting out loud anymore |

I know what women want...it hasn't changed for 1000's of years...I read it... A large man with strong arms, a broad chest, and a large smeckel... Able to take care of his woman in good times and rough times. When it comes to protection he carries a big stick and knows how to keep unwanted approaches from harms way. He steadfastly runs the household providing food and shelter.... written by an Annonymous Cavewoman dated 4094 BC Hi BlueSkyJ :wa ving: Yes, you got it in one! (Except the smeckel bit...it's not bigger is better or one size fits all... more custom fit as I'm not that big ) Now please provide the Anonymous Caveman version pleeese. |

Sunday morning blast as I stretch my arms to wake up my sleeping muscles. I got up and fixed my hair. After I put the dogs out I started the coffee to brewing, set my cup out and turned on the computer to check the weather report and current events. It is going to be another great day, no rain, not too hot, not too cold. I think I will take a walk. I grabbed my sweater and then searched for my sneakers as they had migrated from the front door, no doubt in the mouth of one of the dogs. I creakily crouched down to peek under the bed when I heard footsteps on the back porch. Footsteps on the back porch... I wonder who that could be this early, the dogs aren't barking so it must be someone I know. I get up from my crouched down position with my shoe in hand and go to see who is on my back porch. The screen door spring typically creaked as I pushed it open. Hello...? I called tenatively to the back of the grey haired figure standing at the railing. The grey haired figure with a beard said, "Hey, it's me, JD, I was driving by and stopped to see how you and Precious (a mighty fine mule he sold me a year an half ago) are getting along?" I asked him if he would like a cup of coffee while I told him all about my mighty fine mule. We laughed together over coffee and stories about Precious's antics as two old friends are likey to do until the stories sagged and there was a spot of silence. JD Looked up from his coffee and drew in a deep breath and I knew something extraordinary was coming. [/quote "Olivia", he said tentatively, "You have inspired me to grab the bull by the horns, get over my fear of flying, and let bygones be bygones,....so I have bought two tickets to Paris and...I can't go alone....I know it's short notice and all, but will you come with me?" He excitedly fumbled in his coat and produced two airline tickets from the breast pocket, waving them faster than a happy puppy. |

Im really a 6'3 man named Moose... Looking good for a tall antlered man It is what it is...or what it is trying to be, but isn't! Yeah, can be annoying but I'm starting to get a laugh out of some of the expressions used, which are obviously cut and pasted. E.g.: Two sentences in the scambag writes: Your pretty face and sexy body is very desires in me. - <Yet my one profile photo only shows my face! > Scambusters Unite to blow them out of Mingledom Oh and a big thank you, all you lovely moderators 'cos you must be working overtime to keep all of this tripe in check |

.. my parents used to own a commercial greenhouse.. .. it was my job to keep the flowers . Wet.. at all times.. it can get very ,very hot in a greenhouse... .. some flowers needed more moisture than others.. .. some flowers just . withered up and died...hmm.. MMmmm (that's better) Orchids are one of the most rare, beautiful, sought-after, delicate yet robust flowers that need specialised attention... So no wild swinging of the water hose in its direction... Talking to it helps and plenty of gently stroking... |
