If you are leaving for college, go for it. You need to think of your
future right now and, who knows . . . you may graduate college as an
attorney, and he's still working in the gym. Give it more time.

It's always going to be there as a part of her past. Usually by giving
her the space to vent and your giving her comfort and support, you will
most definately win her over. Tough break ups are not easy to deal
with. Just be understanding and comforting.

Well, I have mixed feelings about my ex. He was diagnosed with
pancreatic cancer just a few months after our divorce was final. He
died a year later when our son was just starting his senior year in high
school.

Don't be too quick to hate. I felt a lot of anger, but when he was so
ill,and seeing how our son still wanted him in his life, it tore me up.
I've done my best to keep his dad alive in my sons life and he honestly
appreciates every effort. My son is now 23 (wow! am I that old?) and
we have a great relationship despite our struggles or maybe because of
our struggles.

What's irritating to me? A man who does or says something deliberately
to piss me off. That is demeaning, condesending and disrespectful.

A senior moment . . . let's say when you walk into a room and forget why
you went there . . . when you call someone and forget why . . . when
you're driving and all of a sudden ask yourself "where the hell am I and
where am I going".

Joyce, I've met a number of men online; some I dated, some I didn't.
But it comes down to the fact that you can't always trust the words; you
have to meet before making ANY kind of commitment. If you feel that he
may be the one for you, by all means, make arrangements to meet. I did
exactly that 5 months ago, and we are now shopping for our house. I
wish you well.flowerforyou
