I'm going to go out on a limb here and just ask a question that's been burning in me for some time ever since I've been back here on this site after some years away...

I see a lot of posts on here from men- and women too- in Nigeria and India, and they seem to all be looking for American women or men. I assume they're looking for Americans, because I've been contacted by several and I figure if they just wanted a woman, any woman, they could find one in their own country....

So my question is, if you're able to make a connection with an American woman, then what? What happens next? Do you plan to come to America to be with her? Do you expect her to come to where you are to be with you? If so, who is going to pay for your trip? Once you're here, do you expect her to support you financially or do you hope to find a job and be able to work until you gain American citizenship?

The reason Americans are leery of foreigners on dating sites is because it doesn't make sense; it's one thing for me to hook up with a guy in another state in America, I can spend about 400 bucks round trip and be there in a few hours, or he can do the same to visit me.

But to go another country on the other side of the world??? Pardon my language, but what the hell for? To me, only someone who is looking for someone to pay for their travel, marry them to get them American citizenship and then deal with whatever happens after they become an American citizen (usually leaving their meal ticket to have a real life) would take up with someone from that far away. Even for a casual chat, I don't see the point, because what if you grow to actually like the person, there's nothing to be done for it. I like to look at the big picture.

So that might be why
you're not getting any takers when you approach American women, they don't see the point of even getting involved. Just my opinion....
