Also the "powers that be" of this site, unless things have changed, don't even ask for your phone number, let alone try to "trick" you into it-or anything else for that matter. Anyone that actually gives this place a chance, usually stays whether they find someone to date (or more) or not, just for the forum and friends they've made here. There are a lot of good people here, but you have to actually give them a chance. Post in the forums, let them get to know you and vice versa.

Also community fund raisers can help-like benefit dinners. A friend I work with and her family just had one to help pay for hearing aids and the operations necessary for her neice, and not only did they slightly exceed the needed amount so that she could have the upgraded model, but it was partly due a local ear specialist stopping in and matching the already raised amount. You never know what...good...surprises come when people band together for a good cause. I would definately try the ideas pacific offered, and try for the lunch/dinner option maybe too, for future/ongoing expenses.

Some people are on these sites for a year or more, and go through a lot of "wrong ones" before they meet a "right one" or two-maybe longer to meet a really good match. Some women...as do some men...lie, cheat, steal, and break hearts, both in real life and cyber life. It happens, the most we can do is work through it, learn from it, and move on. Good luck in finding and making better choices in the future.

I don't do the flipflops, but jeans and t-shirt is my usual when out, comfy clothes and fluffy ugg-boot type slippers around the house. I don't go out but a couple times a year that I will actually dress up.
