I wish M2s IT folks would put as much effort into getting rid of obvious scammers and ads for escorts and porn sites as they do on format changes and things like "coins".

I think the IT folks are tasked to develop only what the site/app owner(s) want them to do.

We provide users with the basic feature to chat and talk freely after matching. The two users are matched if they both send "Hi or "Like" to each other. This way, the users can rest assured that they both are interested in each other.


I feel confident that more than 99% of those, whom I'm enticed to hit the like button on, are fake.

It cannot be done with 100 percent success rate, because there are ways to hide one's real IP address.

I'm not asking for help identifying scammers, and so far I have not fallen for any one of them. However, I'd like to note that a clever scammer may be able to gain his/her interlocutor's trust, if there is only text messaging between the two.

Has anyone else noticed a format change now where you now must do an extra step to send a message to someone new by clicking a "chat"button whereas before the chat box was conveniently right there waiting to write without this extra step?


Yes, at least when using a tablet which I'm doing right now. If you like the old way better, there is a workaround. In the web page showing a profile, type at the address field (url): https://mingle2.com/inbox/conversation/no.
replacing no. with the actual number of the profile you see at the current url field. Hit enter/return, this will take you to a new page which has a text box where you type the message.
