My fav line in a person's profile has to be "i'm pretty shy, but i warm up quickly." So then I wonder, am I supposed to try to get this person out of their shell? Based on what? If they're pretty shy I'd probably feel weird just approaching them and hoping for the best.
this inter net things not really working to well for me but i figure give it some time to see what may happen

Nope...you're not the only one... Want to get busy? I'm sure there are some volunteer positions in your area...serving food to the homeless...visiting nursing homes...it's stuff like that, that reminds me it could be worse...
