with ma in her kerchief and I in my cap
had just settled down
after a long winter crap

they are NOT supposed to be HARD gee whiz

its kind of like a biscuit they are very GOOD IF made right I have at least four different types of scone recipes all are good buttermilk ones made on a griddle are the best they are made with flour ,buttermilk ,salt , pinch of sugar , butter and cream of tartar
