Religion is for people who are afraid of going to Hell...

Spirituality is for those who have already been there.

Unfortunately this answer means nothing to me .

Sorry to hear that...guess you had to "be" there.

Im a firm believer in right is right and wrong is wrong Ive done stuff I should have been killed for

The risk of death didnt stop my action at the time hey fun is fun But i do believe that if i was to be killed for it Then i deserved it

Hmmm...well, let me gather 11 other folks to JUDGE the fate of your sin(s). And because you thought your sin was "fun"...how about we paint a BULLSEYE on your chest with colored Sharpies...and I'll GIGGLE while I play target practice between your nipples with my ladies S&W .357...hollow-point bullets, of course. laugh

Ive was always taught to take my punishment like a man I i tryed to teach my kids the same way If my kid done wrong enough to be killed then thats the path he took

Good teaching...good theory...somewhat agree...HOWEVER...

Until you have been put to the test to truly instill this lesson...are you willing to reserve your decision or others on this all important LIFE point.

Ask yourself this...if you are so willing to have others decide the life-fate of your offspring or a loved one for a faulty act...are you, in turn, willing to sell tickets for others to partake in his/her ultimate demise?

What I find so discerning...and often times amusing...is when folks are so NOT willing to say..."I just don't know" on this point when it concerns another's true LIFE that never touched their own. YET...they are more than willing to duct-tape, flog, slay, and burn at the stake someone who "simply" cheated on them..or worse yet, someone who states they were cheated on in an internet forum. ohwell

Best reponse yet!. If DNA proves they did the murder, the execute them!

Really now? Are you sure about that concrete decision? *scratches head*

Hmmm...what if said "convicted" were your son/daughter...nephew/niece...best friend...an unknown youth who got caught-up in a situation/environment beyond what he thought was out of his control?

I don't know...I just tend to fall upon a theory of my own which is:

FIRST seek to understand...and then be understood. But, that's just me.

Again...how easy and non-consequential it can be to be an "armchair executioner", eh? *sighs*

point taken, but that doesn't mean a person cant speculate what they think they would feel in that situation.

^^ Point taken as well..as long as folks acknowledge and accept that their "points" are, at best, SPECULATION!

Pretty easy, simple and non-consequential to state..."FRY HIS ASS" sitting behind a computer screen or in your Lazy Boy watching the daily news...

But, when the rubber meets the road...hmmmm? ohwell

Just sayin'...

I also support showing it on television, let people think before they commit a crime.

Any thoughts?

^^ Yep, I have a thought on this utterly ridiculous suggestion...STUPID! ohwell

Supposed "reality" TV and "DollyWood" films already project these gruesome images...and does this project "pause for cause" for the criminals? NOPE! *puhhhleeeeze*

Am I an advocate for capital punishment? Hmmm...gotta admit...still sitting on the fence on this one. I fall back on "DEPENDS". Sorry to be a wimp...but, that's where I straddle.

All I can say...openly, honestly and by real life experience...unless and UNTIL...you, and yes YOU personally, have experienced a tragedy in your life whereby you truly hold another's life in your balance...hold your judgment, please.

While we may "think" we are stedfast in our beliefs and morals...much like anything else, we never truly learn where we stand on a certain issue until it smacks us in the face...for REAL.

Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

I'm talking about the burden to impress, like in conversation, making her laugh, being witty, giving off good impressions... you ladies just have to look good and be pleasant.... definitely harder for a man I would think.

^^ Truly NO offense intended here, but if I were to EVER feel the "burden to impress" on a date, or any other scenario...do me a favor and SHOOT ME!! ohwell

I mean really...while it's very cliche to state, but just BE YOURSELF! This is the precise reason (IMHO)...that folks start out one way and then the infamous "self" appears down the road and someone is standing back, scratching their head muttering..."WOW, he/she sure did CHANGE". ohwell

Silver~

I actually will talk politics on a first date..... I need to find out if they are republican....laugh

^^ *SNOOOORT* laugh laugh laugh

Ummm...errrm...I honestly don't watch much TV at ALL (as you know)...well, except for CNN and I am shamefully "hooked" on that show The Deadliest Catch, so I hope that keeps me in the running.

I NEVER listen to mainstream radio tho...YUCK! Well, except for an occassional earful of NPR now and again.

I tend to keep up with current/past events via newspapers, books and the internet...and I then I still only believe half of what I read. ohwell

Honestly, while I understand and respect your need for eye contact...I'm quite a shy person and can tend to have difficulty with this upon first meeting someone, so perhaps this was the case with your fella last night. Altho, it certainly does not negate his major boo-boo of whining about his ex.

Real crabcakes? That can be sorta "spendy"....

But, of course they will be real, my dear...only the best for you! Again, MY TREAT! drinker

If I were in the dating scene again, and my date starting droning on about an ex, I would swiftly inquire..."So, tell me all the things YOU did just PERFECTLY in this supposed wretched relationship"...and once they started I would excuse myself from the table stating, "I'll be right back, I feel the urge to take a crap."

Quite honestly, I'm with you on this one, Lilith...major NO-NO, do not discuss ex's...or politics, religion or bathroom behaviors on a first date.

When I was on the dating scene, this is precisely why my first few dates would be VERY lighthearted in nature - like playing putt-putt or a few matches of tennis or flying kites...but, that's just me. bigsmile

No need to hammer it home he was acting a fool.

*whistling...If I had a hammer...I'd hammer in the moooornin'...I'm hammer in the evenin'...*

Hey, Lilith? Got plans tonight, hon? How about we meet for some crab cakes and then play a wicked round of putt-putt? My treat! love

And guess what? We BOTH can swap stories about our "ex" as we whack the BALLS around! laugh

...and I wasn't referencing your lack of a photo.
worried much?

Hmmm...oh really? I tend to recall THIS you posted up there somwhere:

"I don't know you and I can't see your face, male or female I don't care to know."

And you asked if I was "worried" much? NOPE, not in the slightest...but, you sure seem to be as you can't seem to "drop the bone"?

Now...again, YES...back on topic:

Vaccum, you say? Gosh, have you ever ventured to try the handy-dandy tool called the SWIFFER! I LOVE that new-fangled thingie! love
