I will also say that I like this girl who is quite younger than I am. Probably not a chance in hell there but if there is I would go for it for sure.

So, I met this guy and he's sixteen years older then me... I jsut found out... I thought he was twenty seven.. we hung out and had a lot in coomon, but I was curious how old he was and asked him.. when he told me his age.. I kind of gasped, but I really like him and I am more mature than msot girls my age, so could it work and is it wrong???
If you like him, that's all that really matters. As long as you're both legal and cannot get into any trouble, go for it if you want to. You never know when a chance comes along so don't pass it by.

Just my 2 cents.

You also have to look out for profiles from Russia, Ukraine and the Philippines. Be especially suspicious of anyone giving you an email right away and the ending is .ru

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Comedian George Carlin, a counter-culture hero famed for his routines about drugs and dirty words, died of heart failure at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Sunday, a spokesman said. He was 71.

Carlin, who had a history of heart and drug-dependency problems, died at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica about 6 p.m. PDT (9 p.m. EDT) after being admitted earlier in the afternoon for chest pains, spokesman Jeff Abraham told Reuters.

Known for his edgy, provocative material, Carlin achieved status as an anti-Establishment icon in the 1970s with stand-up bits full of drug references and a routine called "Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television." A regulatory battle over a radio broadcast of the routine ultimately reached the U.S. Supreme Court.

In the 1978 case, Federal Communications Commission vs. Pacifica Foundation, the top U.S. court ruled that the words cited in Carlin's routine were indecent, and that the government's broadcast regulator could ban them from being aired at times when children might be listening.

Carlin's comedic sensibility often came back to a central theme: humanity is doomed.

"I don't have any beliefs or allegiances. I don't believe in this country, I don't believe in religion, or a god, and I don't believe in all these man-made institutional ideas," he told Reuters in a 2001 interview.

Carlin, who wrote several books and performed in many television comedy specials, is survived by his wife Sally Wade, and daughter Kelly Carlin McCall.

It's gonna suck today but at least you don't have small pox.

If you do have small pox, at least you don't have skin cancer.

If you do have skin cancer, at least you don't have herpes.

If you do have herpes, stay the hell away from me!

I'm jealous. It won't be till at least October before we get rain here and most likely no thunder. I'll take some rain in this arid place any day though.

Here's my take:

Take your date to do something fun and childish - mini-golf, go-karting, laser tag, even bowling or horseback riding. You can get to his/her inner child easily that way and can see how he/she functions.

Plus, if you have no chemistry with him/her, who wouldn't at least have fun doing that kind of crap?

BOO ON DINNER/DRINKS/COFFEE!!! ...LAME!
Also on that same note, you also get to see certain personality traits that are carefully hidden on interviews like if they get frustrated easily, are they a good sport or are they willing to cheat. They may also be more prone to opening up a little more since the two of you will be more relaxed.

I kinda agree, I really don't like the mingle layout myself. I will continue with the JSH version till they take it down.

if they are not spontaneous with their answers, that should be a given.
Not necessarily. I'm not spontaneous with my answers simply because I find the situation uncomfortable, not because I'm trying to pull the wool over her eyes. I could be very spontaneous if either 1. I already have them rehearsed or, 2. I just say the first thing that comes to my mind paying little regard to how accurate it is.

most of the time, interviewing your date facilitates a conversation.
But, it also gives them a chance to lie through their teeth if they're the type.

Ok, I got this idea while in another thread here. When I meet someone for the first time I want to get to know them. There are two ways which I think are most effective. The first would be, when talking to them online, do just that, talk. The second is, once you're out with one another in person, do something together. Hike, swim, birdwatch, people watch or whatever. Sitting across one another at a table asking and answering questions occasionally punctuated with awkward silence probably will not leave a good impression on either of you.

I hate interviews and largely avoid women who interview me when I try to talk to them. You know like, "what do you do for fun? What kind of food do you like?" etc. In my opinion, thats not a good way to get to know anyone at all. Some people are great people but they suck at interviews. Other people are horrible people but are good bull****ters. Ever hear someone say how they thought they knew a person then their true colors came out? Those people give the right answers in the interview, thats all.

What do you all think? Besides me being crazy what do you think? lol
