You make a very good point. Thank you for not judging. I understand that people have opposing viewpoints, but does that really mean we should argue and place blame on each other? I don't think God would like that. Therefore I apologize to any harsh words I said or if I said anything offensive, God loves us all and we are all equal in His eyes, so lets all praise Him together!

Remember that the Bible was translated from language to language, and the actual term "homosexuality" came from could more accurately be translated into "prostitution". As for not being able to reproduce, nuns can't reproduce, so are they wrong? Have you ever lied? Ever sinned even once? Then you can be found at fault before God. Good news for us, God is merciful and loves ALL His children. Because I have never been married, I am a virgin in every sense of the word, so don't assume that gay is the same thing as promiscuous, because it definitely is not. My "sinful lifestyle"? You know nothing about me except that I'm gay. That phrase is so judgemental, and God says to not judge. I cannot help that I am not attracted to guys. It's not a choice. I can, however, choose to not have sexual relations until marriage and that is what I have chosen. I love God with all my heart. I am constantly praying to Him, seeking His guidance. I know I am not perfect, but I also know that He loves me. Everybody lives "sinful lives" because we are all sinners. God still loves you even though you are being hateful and judgemental to me.

I said not leviticus because people tend to pick out that verse as proof, however they ignore the parts that say we cant eat shellfish and guys cant shave their beards. its all in the same section, but no one calls shaving an abomination, so why is homosexuality?

I know that sin separates us from God, but do you know any verses that clearly state that homosexuality is a sin? other than leviticus and the old testament, because that also says that eating shellfish, shaving your beard, and mixing two types of fibers together in your clothes (cotton) are abominations.

gh and ms, I appreciate your opinions, but God is my One and Only. I'm not calling myself a Christian just to look good and not actually follow through with it. He is my reason for breathing and I'm currently studying to go into medical missions so I can devote my life to Him. I'm not saying this to sound "high and mighty" or something, I just don't appreciate being told I'm a "fake" Christian because I'm gay. If being gay was a choice, I definitely would not have chosen it, therefore it cannot be a sin. And even if it is, I know that I am still God's child and He loves me.

That's true, and it annoys me so much. I went through a rigorous application process to be a small group leader on my campus, and they offered me the position. After I came out to them, they immediately told me I could not be a leader and that I'm lucky they didn't kick me out of the group all-together, yet they don't have a problem with promiscuous people. I am so tired of being lectured and looked down on for something I cannot control. I'm sure you have experienced similar situations?
