I have been married and I have lived with someone. The marriage ended due to death by natural causes. The live in partnership ended by a self inflicted gunshot wound. I don't think it matters which you do. Love is something that's in your heart and not on a piece of paper like a marriage license. To me, what really matters is the heart and not the piece of paper. Married or not, if love is there the relationship will endure all the hardships that thrown at it. So, in my opinion that piece of paper is all that it is, a piece of paper.
