I live in a small town, and to be honest, I don't think I would want to date anyone from this town - seems to be a verry shallow gene pool and 90% of the people are related to one another in some way.

No, thats just how most of Minnesota people drive. I'm from the south metro area and you can't go 3 blocks without getting cutoff by some moron talking on their cell while doing 25 over the limit because they left home later than they should have....

Yea prior to the little Canon point and shoot thinks its an SLR - which was a great camera, I had a manual Nikon. I survived without the live preview, but Im only 5'1" so I find myself holding the camera over my head quite a bit. I need to invest in a remote, is that an option for the D40? Ive seen it for D80.


I've seen remotes for the D40 and D40X on ebay and amazon.com, so I believe they are out there.

I've got a Nikon D40X (same as what you have, only a few more megapixels and a few other little bells and whistles). It doesn't have a live preview, but I personally don't need one as I've gotten good at "shooting from the hip" over the last few months. I've also got a 2 year old Nikon CoolPix L1 point-and-shoot camera that I use when I don't feel like bringing my expensive one with me.
