I think someone had an issue with my picture since I had to change it....embarassed

wasn't me, I don't know what you had before, so (shrugs) What can I do about it.

I was surprised by it too. My sister gets an alert on her phone when her son is outside of the area where he is supposed to be too. No sneaking out when spending the night at a friend’s house. laugh

well then that is even better and sheds a whole different view or light on things.

Yeah would be a great...if said pool I was thinking about was in my back yard...oops

I have to either pay to use the local Public pool (Yuck) or travel an hour to the nearest private beach at a lake, and even then I'd have the local Nabes peeking and frowning/glaring/giving dirty looks at me.

Hello GreyWolf,
if you are starting all over why did you not open a new account since you
have only 11 posts in the forums as at the present?

Anyway, welcome back

Thanks, Well seeing as last time I was here I hadn't even bothered to post on the forums at the time and was only here for a few days at the time, so basically I pretty much have started a new account.

ok then, have fun

Thanks and I intend to

My post would be banned from Mingle2, if I actually told you. So instead, I'll let you know it tends to be steamy, involves people and a pool. ⛲laugh

would that be a Jacuzzi?

Some parents may do that, but there are simpler phones available that parents can program for a few emergency numbers. My 12 year old nephew can call/text and receive calls/text from his parents, grandparents, scouts, a few approved friends and me. I think it’s a responsible option for parents. I’m not sure which services provide this option. I’d have to ask my sister.

I see, hmmm I have learnt something new tonight then. I have heard of Family Plans but not of Youth styled phones.

They have phones set up specifically for youths. They only work for parent aproved phone numbers. But I can’t imaging why a 7 year old would need one at all. When is a seven year old not under adult supervision?

You'd be surprised, I have Heard Rumors and seen Newscasts to the Effect that would lead me to think otherwise. But as to the phones only working for youths I did not know about that, I had always assumed it was just an Older Cell phone with full access the parents had given them due to the parents getting a new one.

Hello,

I once had a discussion about this but should a 7 year old really have a Cell phone or something like it?
To me I could see a 12+ year old being a bit more mature enough to be using one, but a 7 year old? I say No as that just makes my skin crawl for some reason, as you never know what they could be doing on it, also it is a poor substitute for being a babysitter. Those kinds of parents just make me cringe like crazy.

They could be ripping their parents or single parent off of their Credit Card, talking to strangers for example or some other thing that is generally frowned upon.

Your Thoughts?
I merely am just discussing this as I am curious as to the general consensus.

I hope you enjoy the forums and find what you are searching for

I am not going to be actively Searching as that just seems to be bute forcing my way along and Rushing things like I've done in the past. I don't want to take two steps backwards to only take one step forwards etc, etc.

I aim to enjoy the forums as best as I can.

They can take any kind of break they want to but I don’t remember them having coffee in the break room. I had to do some testing in a tea factory in suffolk for their air quality.

I see, I hadn't thought of that.

Hello,
Just returned (reactivated) a few days ago and so I figured I'd give the forums a try.

So Hello to all.
