I'd like to know what everyones thoughts on this topic are as I have met someone recently that I have a stronger connection with than anyone I have ever met in my entire life. I'd like to also say that I have never been one to beleive in the whole love at first sight concept, but this person is very quickly changing my opinion.

Love at first sight does not exist, not unlike love itself. Love is such a rare commodity you are better off trying to get hit by lightning or winning the lottery. Better to understand that now rather than later...when it will hurt far more.

I used to believe that too.....Not so much anymore. I guess some things you can't believe or understand unless you see or experience them yourself

Guys: Listen to what she has to say and respond accordingly.
Girls: Don't expect us to remember every little detail about everything, we will remember the important stuff.

Guys: No really does mean no.
Girls: Don't beat around the bush or paraphrase, say what you mean. We are not mind readers.

With me its more a "Lust at first sight".....love is a powerful word and not handed out lightly.....bigsmile

darkowl.......love

see what I mean...??tongue2

I'm a fan of lust. After all, without lust, true love can't be present. Not in relationships anyway.

I really appreciate all the input from everyone. It's definitly made me think think think think

well, it's been a rather refreshing post, and a topic that most avoid for feeling like a fool to ask, and being afraid of the answers given. i think you will see more input from the days to come, and completely different takes and experiences. after all, there's about 1000 years of personal experience on this site at any given time, with all these people. it will make us exponentially smarter in the long run if we stay and learn form one another.drinker

And that is exactly what I'm looking for. The knowledge and expreience of others. For you can only truly learn through experience and If you haven't experienced it before then what other way is there than through the experience of others? Unless ya just wanna dive in head first and see what happens, which isn't always a good idea.

it's really strange how attractions work, some logical, some illogical, and some just have a timeless attraction that comes entirely from somewhere else, that with caution, and thinking things out but hopefully not overthought could me something majical that one experiences once in several lifetimes, and needs no barriers or papers, it just is, and if it lasts for the work put into it, it may constantly renew it's refreshing aspect, for the facets of something like that are truly endless, and deserve to be explored at all costs if hearts, souls, and timing and thought permit it to happen. many people over-think themselves out of a good thing by self-sabatoging them-selves(guilty as charged in the past, and a little now) and one may not fall truly in love for a couple of years, but love that person dearly till that happens, or doesn't happen, and care about them at all costs, and nature will take it's course to see that end, or in some cases deny that, but the love never truly goes away, example, WW2, many were seperated, and then 20-30 years later were reunited and it was like they never lost touch, and the other half was filled. i think most of you on here desire this stong connection. what's instore for me, i haven't a clue, but i clearly have a busy future, and who can tell who i will share it with at this time, but i may dream.......they will always be free while they are with me if they volunteer their touch of heart...just a touch.....

That was quite deep. Thank you.

I have to say, you gotta be on your guard man...I had such a strong connection to another woman...we could almost read each other's mind and even others said, they can't believe how we can get along so well. At the end she left me...so it could be extremely painful, almost like being stabbed and the wound don't want to heal, just keep opening up.

Thats another thing thats strange. Normally meeting someone like so I do tend to keep my guard up, but with her it has been completely different. Like I don't need to. I honestly feel like I have known this woman my whole life even though in reality it has been a very short period of time.

just be careful, and take is slowly, although you may not feel like you should. i had this connection, and he uprooted 3000 miles to move in with me. only then did we see how much we had fallen in extreme like, lust, adoration, and hadn't given ourselves time to put a real foundation in place. we're no longer together. so, i wish you the best, just take it slow. flowerforyou

Thats another thing, she lives on the west coast and I on the east........
