Alabama actually has some beach front property laugh

Yep...down around Mobile..., and the gulf coast as well.

I spent some time out in Colorado, Springs (about 3 years), but it's hard for me to wrap my head around your state, with what I picture a lot of desert land.

There is so much green here in AL...guess it just depends on what your used to being around.

Yes I have been on the coast in Alabama on the way to Florida. Southern AZ is desert but in Northern AZ you will see the green and its COLD in the winter too. I live in the southern part and I love the desert but would love some beach front property in California shades smile2

Yea...I see ya with them sunglasses on ...uh huh!

I have a friend, that lives in AZ...and they are always taking pictures of the plants and animals, and snakes!

The snake is my biggest fear...I would have a hard time enjoying myself there, for looking out for snakes around....!scared shocked

But we have snakes here as well...but just something about desert land, and snakes....!
scared

I am afraid of the snakes too, I live in the city so do not have to worry until I get out aways then I start watching for them. scared shocked scared

Well it seems since your into the profile thing and what others write on them this thread should would keep your occupied for a bit it is one that Lex keeps updated it is surely one that will make you think twice what to not write on one.

http://mingle2.com/topic/show/233338

But then it always amazes me why others bring so much attention to what others put on their profiles. To me if it it that bad I just shake my head and move on.slaphead

Many times when others write a profile it is for the first time and they have no idea what to write. Nor have any clue so they just write a few things such as walks on the beach. Now I assure this does not work very well if you don't live near any beaches and have not seen the beach in the last 10 years.

My self I live in Texas hummmm only so called beach is that bit of sand out at the lake they have designated within the family areas that if your lucky it maybe a couple of blocks long. And needless to say not much to walk along.

I use to prefer horse back riding but to be honest even though I have not been around horses since I sold mine 5 years ago. I would still love to be around them again. Even if I had to learn to ride all over again I still say I like to do those things.

Sometimes what some put in their profile has to deal with the things they would love to do with another. Romance is seen many different ways even though I don't have a beach to walk on now got to admit I would love to live where I could take those walks.

In reality if one wants to put in their profile all those romantic things then hey more power to them. Candle lite dinners yeppiers I have had them and have had walks in the country instead of the beach under the moonlight as well. Not a thing wrong with any of that stuff. Heck have had the big bubble baths for 2 with candles drinks and all including the massage along the way. So yeah those things do exist and many do enjoy them.bigsmile

Agree, I think many people do not know what to write in their profiles. It is difficult to summarize all your likes, hobbies, dreams etc in a profile for the world to read.
The bubble bath sounds racey

Both young and mature ladies I want you opinion. Is marriage the only way you can see commitment. I see a lot of forum comments about commitment & marriage Why isn’t a LTR as a commitment. What is your definition of LTR. Married or living together (with nor without a life time commitment). I've always wanted to be marriage, but since a few states (including mine) allow gay marriages or civil unions, marriage has been. I know marriage sounds more permanent, but with divorce rates so high, it's not so permanent after all. Having a committed
Life Time Relationship, whether living together or maybe separate residences, in my opinion, is just as permanent. At least with me, marriage and LTR's both
are committed relationship. In marriage a lot of couples pre-nup, why not a
pre-co hab?

I still like the idea of marriage, but interference from the state & mocking of it turns me off.

Ron

If you go to a lawyer they can write up a contract if you want to label it pre-co hab or something else.

On a lighter note...........Two weeks laugh Well, it is in the eyes of one year 8 boy, he wanted to go home because he could not concentrate on his lessons for the rest of the day on account of being very upset. His girlfriend had broken up with him (she wasn't seeing another boy) she just wanted to have a good time with her mates and she accused him of 'bugging' her, so she blew him out. laugh laugh

If you aren't religious, then marriage is nothing more than a committed relationship backed up by a signed piece of paper.
Whoopty-Friggen-Doo.

Religion really has nothing to do with it in many cases. Men and women will marry for money and they know the marriage contract will land them a large settlement when divorce time roles around.

I see "I love taking long walks on the beach" in Arizona. Geez there are no beachs here. grumble grumble

A thought just accrued to me as I read your post...

If the earthquakes keeps up...you just may end up with some "beach front" property there in Arizona!

Just think of what that would do for property value!

Just kidding with ya!

LOL people are always talking about that, and the song.

I guess it's an age thing on my end, but a song?

I might know what song your talking about...but (see, I can blame it on age) it slips my memory!

George Strait "Ocean Front Property" I do not know the year, it is on the radio alot.

Oh yea...now I remember...that is a pretty good song.

Now that you mentioned it, I can hear it in my head!

That's another sign of age...trying to keep the music and ringing separate! laugh

I have a collection of over 23,000+ plus music files on the puter...all types of music...you'd think I would have remembered that song.

The song is popular in Arizona flowerforyou

Marriage is a legally binding contract and provides a feeling of "safety" for some people. There are some couples that feel just as comfortable in a LTR. It is up to the two people involved.

so anyway...one thing I would not give up to this imaginary "s/o" is my opinion. Fight all you want..you aint gonna get anywhere.

So you like to debate and win and so you forever keep you belief or opinion. I will on occasion give in if someone else comes up with new information and it is all reasonable, but not until then.

I do not think a s/o should ask you to give up things that are important to you.
