Being a father is a rewarding and difficult experience.
To some it is a novelty. To others, a deterrence. To most, a respected and honored tradition. I am pleased to see the latter is the overwhelming opinion here. I had a class in non-violent parenting when my child was very young. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. The relationship I have now is so much better. It is based on mutual trust not power and control. Just any relationship with a significant other should be (man or woman). The quote I recall most from that class: Children are inconvenient. It has helped me remember my focus and maintain my priorities when my faith is challenged. bye now... |
