I have seen the movie several times and I always get a kick out of it. It was campy, I will give you that. But, it had drama, suspense, and non-stop action. I like how the Warriors' members had different personalities and they fought a vast array of rival gangs. I label the movie as a cult classic. Yea or nay?

I was 7 when that movie came out

it was based on fact. i lived near Cabrini Green in Chicago when that came out, and at that time, they were kinda chuckling about it being out of date, as the refference to weapons, and costumes, as they all had guns by that time, and had done away with costumes to be stealthier. hence bandanas, and break-dancing was on the rise when Afrika Bambaataa was hitting the scene in Chicago and New York, and although there was less killing at the time, less than any other, the weapons were mounting up for super-kill numbers in the near future....for the drugs had evolved and morphed into new monsters themselves...

Man, that takes me back...

I really dig that movie, now im going to have to watch it again.

The scary thing is that they made a game for the Xbox with it in which you go chapter by chapter with the movie. I also found the DVD a while ago while ceaning out a foreclosure:)

There's a video game based on it now...and it rocks!
